We are a not-for-profit childcare centre which has been proudly serving the Clanton Park community since 1986.
We are located inside of Dublin Heights Elementary and Middle School and offer year-round services to children 18 months to 12 years old.
We believe every child is capable and full of potential. Our programs are based on emergent curriculum, which means our programs are directed by the unique interests of each child. This creates an environment in which children are eager to engage and explore. Each child is listened to and cared for by experienced and educated staff in a safe and welcoming environment.
Our professionally trained and accredited educators support the children as they develop foundational skills through meaningful play experiences, building positive relationships with others, and express and regulate their emotions and feelings in a safe space.
Our Centre holds a service contract with the City of Toronto allowing us to provide services to those in all economic circumstances. We are licensed by the Province of Ontario’s Ministry of Education through the Child Care and Early Years Act. Our facilities are inspected regularly by Toronto Public Health and the City of Toronto to ensure a high standard of operation that meets all licensing standards.
We maintain rigorous health and safety protocols such as daily health screenings and enhanced cleaning and sanitizing measures to ensure the safety of the children and our educators. We are governed by a Board of Directors made up of members of our community.
Our Staff
Our educators are all trained professionals in the early childhood field and are in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators. We also have staff that are Ontario Certified Teachers, in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Our educators all have many years of experience in the early childhood field. In fact, many have been with us for more than 10 years.
Our staff are all certified in first aid and CPR-C AED and are required to undergo regular recertification. Continuous education for our staff is important to the Centre. Year-round, staff are provided with professional development opportunities to help them enhance their skills. For example, this year, many of our staff took courses in supporting children’s mental health and inclusive programming. Our educators are also encouraged to seek out their own professional development opportunities.
Nutrition
We partner with Wholesome Kids Catering to provide nutritious meals for our toddlers and preschoolers. Having more than 25 years of experience serving nutritious meals in the childcare setting, Wholesome Kids is a popular catering company for many daycares throughout the city. All meals are planned in accordance with CCEYA and Canada Food Guide standards. Our toddler and preschool programs include a morning snack, warm lunch, and an afternoon snack. Our kindergarten and school-age programs include an afternoon snack.
We are a nut-free, pork-free, and shellfish-free Centre. We accommodate most dietary restrictions, and we offer menu substitutions for children with allergies and dietary restrictions.
